The Office of Government Procurement commenced sourcing operations in 2014 and, together with four key sectors (Health, Local Government, Education and Defence), has taken responsibility for sourcing all goods and services on behalf of the public service. These operations are putting in place framework agreements and contracts so that public bodies can buy goods and services. In addition, the Office of Government Procurement has responsibility for procurement policy and procedures, sourcing systems and data analytics.
