Bid-Rigging: What is it and How to Avoid it - 11:40 - 12:05
Bid-rigging is a serious form of anti-competitive conduct. It reduces competition among businesses which may result in higher prices for goods and services and less choice for consumers (including business and the State).
In this session, Joseph Walser gives guidance to procurers on how to prevent bid-rigging in their tender competitions. He will also offer practical advice to SME owners on how to avoid becoming involved in bid-rigging and the ways of reporting suspicions of anti-competitive conduct to the CCPC, including anonymously, if need be.
