New for 2026, the Health Procurement Zone at Procurex Ireland will bring together procurement and supply chain professionals from across Ireland’s healthcare sector, including the Republic and Northern Ireland, for a day of focused learning, collaboration, and insight.
As healthcare systems continue to evolve to meet growing demand, innovation, and sustainability goals, the effective delivery of procurement has never been more critical. In the Republic of Ireland alone, the HSE stands as the largest purchaser in the state, with an annual spend of approximately €5.4 billion – expenditure that directly impacts the quality and continuity of patient care.
This zone will highlight how strategic procurement delivers not only security of supply and value for money, but also enables critical reinvestment into frontline services. Sessions will explore the integration of Sláintecare objectives, the transition to modern systems like the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS), and the practical implementation of the Green Procurement Strategic Framework within clinical settings.
Led by expert speakers and practitioners from across both health systems, this dedicated zone will explore the strategies, tools, and approaches that are transforming how health and social care organisations source goods, services, and technology to deliver better patient outcomes and greater value for the public purse.
